Florin Bădiță is a Romanian engineer, founder, and civic technologist working where data infrastructure meets democratic accountability. Florin Bădiță is a Romanian engineer, founder, and civic technologist whose work spans large-scale data infrastructure, AI-native platforms, and democratic accountability. In 2015, after the Colectiv nightclub fire killed 64 people in Bucharest — including a close friend — he founded Corupția Ucide (“Corruption Kills”). The movement grew to 156,000+ followers and coordinated 600,000 protesters across more than fifty Romanian cities in February 2017 — the largest demonstrations since the fall of communism in 1989 — forcing the government to withdraw the emergency ordinance that would have decriminalized certain abuses of office. During the protest cycle he coordinated 650 volunteers across 11 time zones using Slack and Monday.com. He built the civic data backbone behind the work: 15,000+ Freedom-of-Information requests to 5,000+ public bodies under the ACTFOIA methodology, with pipelines feeding RISE Project and OCCRP. On the commercial side, he is founder and CEO of Scrape The World, operating web-scale scraping with more than a million sites indexed and billions of data points captured, and founder/CTO of DomainScope, an AI-driven domain intelligence platform covering 7M+ domains across 77 markets. He runs ServerClaw, an open-source AI-native infrastructure platform documented across 443+ Architecture Decision Records, and teaches the practice through his ADR-Driven Development masterclass. Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe (Law & Policy, 2018). Euronews European Personality of the Year (2018). Speaker at TEDxBratislava, HOPE XV, GIJC, POINT, and Rockit Digital Summit. Subject of Think Freedom: The Firestone (FNF, 2025). Tech Director, House of Collaboration at Davos 2026. Lives in Arad, Romania.
